Rather than acting as a simple volume boost, the Royal Jelly Boost allows you to fine-tune how your guitar’s pickups interact with the amplifier.

Passive guitar pickups naturally produce a resonant peak at the upper edge of their frequency range. This peak is influenced by internal and external capacitance as well as the load placed on the pickup by cables, pedals, and amplifiers. The height and shape of this peak are what give different pickups their distinctive tonal character.

The Royal Jelly Boost allows you to control and shape this resonance. By adjusting the treble boost and resonance range, you can enhance clarity, emphasize upper mids, or smooth the high-frequency response depending on the guitar and amplifier you are using.
